P&R Access is based in Nicholson, GA between Athens and Commerce. As a rule of thumb we like to stay within a two hour radius, although exceptions can be made. This is not so much about installation as it is serviceability- we want to be able to respond to you within a timely manner. Some major areas we regularly service include Athens, Watkinsville, Elberton, Monroe, Covington, Lake Oconee, Lake Keowee, Habersham and Rabun County, Greensboro, Blairsville, Clarksville, Gainesville, Lake Lanier, Buford, Norcross, Lawrenceville, Atlanta, etc. 

This of course varies by location. We charge a minimum for service calls which covers drive time and one hour of labor or diagnostics. After one hour we charge $75/hr, prorated every 15 minutes. Minimum service charges are determined by drive time:

• Less than 30 minutes: $150
• 45 minutes to one hour: $175
• Over an hour to two hours: $250

Unfortunately, we do not service or install brands from Amazon, Tractor Supply, Ghost Controls, Home Depot, etc. This is for several reasons, the most important being warranty. At P&R we take pride in providing reliable access control systems and we stand behind our work. We are unable to warranty these systems, or even guarantee any level of reliability. Secondly, these systems are designed to be installed and serviced by the end user. Often times once these systems go out, it is cheaper to replace it entirely than fix it. However, we would be happy to point you in the right direction!

This is by far the most common question we get, and while it is valid, there really is no set amount. There are countless variables to cost. Some of these include location, gate type and weight, daily cycle count, method of access control, availability of power, the need for trenching or directional boring, number of safety devices, repairs to existing gates or hardware, etc. Nonetheless, we are happy to work with your budget and tailer a system to meet your needs. To give you an idea, we've listed some examples below: 

• Lightweight single swing gate,  wireless keypad with remotes: $3,500-$4,500
• Dual swing gates, wireless keypad and remotes, free exit device: $5,000-$6,000
• Moderately heavy dual swing gates, wireless keypad with remotes, free exit device: $6,500-$8,000
• Dual swing gates with premium operators, video entry callbox, remotes, free exit device: $9,500-$13,000
• Custom fabricated dual swing gates, brick or stone columns, premium operators, video entry callbox, remotes, free exit, dawn-dusk lights on columns, running electrical: $19,500-$25,000+
